1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Sumbox browser extension ("Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Sumbox is a browser extension that provides AI-powered summarization services for YouTube videos and web articles. The Extension:

• Extracts content from YouTube videos (via transcripts/captions) and web articles
• Processes this content through our summarization service to generate TL;DR summaries, detailed summaries, and full transcripts
• Stores your summary history locally in your browser, separated by user account
• Requires user authentication to access summarization features

3. Account Registration

To use Sumbox, you must create an account using:

• Email and password, or
• Google Sign-In

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Free Trial and Subscription

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required to start the trial.

4.2 Paid Subscription

After the trial period, continued use requires a paid subscription at $4.99/month. Subscriptions are processed through Polar.sh, our payment provider.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Polar.sh customer portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Extension for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension
• Use the Extension to process content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated systems to abuse the summarization service
• Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

The Extension, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by Michal Wlosik EFC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you process through the Extension. By using the Extension, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the summarization service.

6.3 Third-Party Content

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process any content through the Extension. We are not responsible for any copyright or intellectual property issues arising from your use of the Extension with third-party content.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy or completeness of summaries generated
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all websites or video content
• Availability of captions/transcripts for all YouTube videos

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits or data
• Business interruption
• Reliance on summaries for critical decisions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Extension in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the Extension at any time
• Change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
• Update these Terms at any time

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Extension if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the service or other users

Upon termination, your right to use the Extension ceases immediately.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Poland.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Michal Wlosik EFC regarding the use of the Extension.
